      <image:caption>Making the teachings of Yoga and Feldenkrais accessible to everyone has always been a cornerstone of my business model. As a small business owner, I am constantly trying to strike a balance between making my offerings accessible and making sure my business is sustainable for myself. I recently have been reading about the concept of “financial enough-ness”. It is a deep personal sense of safety and security that comes from feeling content with your resources, the achievements you have made/are making, and the impact you have created. “Enough-ness” is necessary for an economy that is beyond consumerism, scarcity, and the growth imperative. It asks you to reflect on what you actually need versus always wanting more. This is my small way of contributing towards more of a sharing economy. I have been able to maintain a sustainable practice in the last many year, while also offering scholarships to everyone that has needed them. I have been able to offer these full scholarships in part from the generous support of some of my students and from my own giving of time and resources. Dāna is the first theme in the Buddha's system of gradual training. The practice of generosity is the essence of the path to freedom. Generosity is non-attachment. BODY MATTER practices Dāna in the form of a sliding scale fee model. If you are not able to pay the suggested rates, Sarah offers another approach.
