Episode 67: Treat Yourself Shoulder Release in Sitting

Episode 67:

Today’s class is a mini Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement lesson that you will do sitting in a chair. No other props will be needed, so please take a moment to find a stable chair with a flat sitting surface.

Many of us are spending a much longer time in front of screens. And this creates more load and restriction around our shoulders and leads to unease and tension in the shoulders and the neck. We will use our own hands and a soft attention as a way to help relax these commonly tense areas.

This podcast is an intersection of my yoga teaching and my training in the Feldenkrais® method. Classes include sensory rich movement experiences for a more resilient and healthy nervous system to help you feel a greater sense of ease and comfort in yourself. Sarah has been creating podcast classes since 2007. Each podcast is an originally crafted yoga class taught by Sarah Baumert. Sarah's teaching is alignment based, unhurried, and rich with somatic inquiries. The cueing is effective, easy to follow, and uses visualizations of postures to allow for unexpected growth and depth. You will find live unplugged versions of her classes from yoga studios, as well as classes that are specifically produced for the podcast medium.
