Feldenkrais Classes Online
Every course on this page is a self-paced series of Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons. Each one was recorded from a live class taught on Zoom, so you can take it whenever suits you, at whatever pace you want, from wherever you are.
If you would rather join in real time, Sarah also teaches live online Feldenkrais classes every week. Everything on this page is recorded and self-paced.
“I appreciate the way the lessons are stacked like building blocks to increase my awareness and function.”
What is an Awareness Through Movement lesson?
An Awareness Through Movement lesson is a verbally guided movement exploration. There is nothing to copy and no shape to arrive at. Sarah talks you through a sequence of small, gentle movements while you give your attention to how you are doing them.
Most lessons are done lying on your back, side, or belly, sitting in a chair or on the floor. The movements are slow, and small enough that they should never strain you. The aim is not to work harder, it is to notice your habits clearly enough that your nervous system can find an easier option on its own.
This is why they are called lessons rather than Feldenkrais exercises. An exercise asks you to repeat something until it gets stronger. A lesson asks you to sense what you are already doing, and to discover that there is more than one way to do it.
Most people feel a difference after a single lesson. Practicing regularly is what carries those shifts into how you move the rest of the time.
No previous experience is needed for any course on this page.
An 8 week Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement Series
September 20th - November 11th, 2026
Sundays 4pm CST/Wednesdays 6:30pm CST
Live classes will be taught on zoom*
Our Fall Feldenkrais course Organizing the Head and Neck will explore a less common approach to chronic neck and shoulder pain—one that focuses on how your head and neck are supported from below, by your spine, pelvis, and feet, rather than forcing "good posture".
In this gentle series, we will work with how your head can feel effortlessly suspended from above while building natural, solid support beneath you. Instead of fighting your body or trying too hard to hold yourself up, you’ll learn small, comfortable movements designed to melt away chronic tightness, helping you feel lighter, better supported, and more comfortable in your daily life.
