Sarah B Yoga + Feldenkrais® PodcasT
Free movement classes you can practice at home, whenever you need them.
The Sarah B Yoga + Feldenkrais® Podcast has been running since 2007. Every episode is an original class, taught by Sarah, blending yoga with the Feldenkrais Method® to help you release chronic tension and move with more ease.
These are not quick exercise routines. They are slow, sensory-rich explorations designed to communicate with your nervous system rather than push against it. You will find live unplugged classes recorded in yoga studios alongside lessons produced specifically for the podcast. Many classes need no props at all, just a bit of floor space and some time to yourself. Some classes use basic yoga props like a block, blanket or strap.
New episodes come out on Fridays.

Episode 110: Attention to the Middle: The Golden Ball Lesson
This class uses subtle movements to strengthen capacity for sustained concentration.
BROWSE BY THEME
Pelvic floor and deep core
A Feldenkrais approach to the pelvic floor works differently to most pelvic floor advice. Rather than strengthening through repetition, these lessons build awareness of how the pelvis, breath and whole self coordinate together. If this is your area, the Pelvic Floor and Deep Core Rapport course goes considerably deeper.
Episode 88: A Feldenkrais® Approach to Pelvic Floor and Abdominal Health
An informational podcast about pelvic floor and deep abdominal health. Pelvic floor health and abdominal strengthening is one of the most requested topics I get from students. I will be discussing why pelvic floor health is so important and give you some context for the courses.
Episode 89: Rolling a Ball from Hip to Hip with Pelvic Floor Awareness
A natural follow-on from episode 88, using images to refine your sense of the pelvis. A short Feldenkrais lesson using the pubic bone, the tailbone, and the creases of the hip joints as anatomical places of reference and awareness. This mini lesson is an example of the direction that the lessons will start to take in the Pelvic Floor and Deep Core Rapport Series.
Four Part Neck Care Series:
Neck tension rarely starts in the neck itself—which is why aggressive stretching and pulling often yield only temporary relief. To offer a more complete approach, this four-part podcast series explores neck care from every angle, breaking down a key element in each episode: attention, strength, mobility, and whole-body connection. As you move through the series, pay attention to which focus feels most supportive so you can easily return to those practices whenever you need them. If you’d like to deepen your practice with a full-length visual lesson covering these same concepts, you can register to watch the class here.
Episode 77: Neck Care Part 1: Awareness
A short 35 minute practice with a focus on neck care, awareness, and education. It is an example of how I blend yoga and Feldenkrais principles in my classes.
Episode 79:
Neck Care Part 3: Mobility
Now we will take a more in depth look at stretching the neck safely. It’s important not to view the neck as something we tug and pull at and just stretch aggressively. This is why I am taking a comprehensive look at the many ways we can approach neck care.
Episode 78: Neck Care Part 2: Strength
Strengthen the neck and reverse the effects of the forward and down head action, (sometimes referred to as “text neck”), and the pain that comes with that.
Episode 80: Neck Care Part 4: Neck and Shoulder Relationships
A Feldenkrais approach to Neck Care, connecting the shoulders and chest to how the neck can feel supported. With poor postural organization, it’s common that the muscles of your neck are forced to work overtime to hold your head up.
Spine and posture
Posture is not a position you hold. It is a dynamic system that organises itself moment to moment. These classes explore spinal mobility, length and support.
Episode 107: Walking Around Your Center Line
This is an intro class for the Feldenkrais Walking Series: Walking From Your Spine. The context for this series is to learn about how our limbs and our spine move in relation to each other.
Episode 99: Harmonizing Your Neck and Upper Back
This is a 40 minute live Feldenkrais + Yoga blended class focusing on communication between the neck, shoulders, and upper back. Props: rolled up yoga blanket.
Eyes and nervous system
The eyes and the nervous system are closely linked. Softening the eyes settles the whole system, which is why so much of my teaching returns to them.
Episode 109:
Relaxed Eyes with Rolling Hands
This is a re-release of one of my most popular classes. I originally taught this lesson as a part of the Soften the System Feldenkrais® Course. This is a Feldenkrais® approach to practicing the ability to settle the body. This class again utilizes the powerful effect that calming the hands can have on our whole system, including our eyes.
Episode 94: Tech Antidote for Spine and Eyes: Yoga + Feldenkrais Blended
In this class we explore creating a sense of width in the body. Oftentimes if our eyes have a more narrow focus (like when we are looking at a fixed object such as a screen), then our whole body can start to shrink inward and feel compressed. This is a fantastic practice to juice up the spine after a day of sitting and integrate the eyes after a day of looking at a screen.
Episode 104: Weighted Breathing
A short breath awareness meditation done in savasana with a weight placed on the belly. You will need something heavy that you can place on your abdomen. If you have a yoga sandbag, this works great.
Episode 103: Covering the Eyes
When we reduce visual stimulation, it can have a relaxing effect on the entire body, from the neck and jaw to the breathing and face. This can lead to a more settled and quiet state of being, and even sharper vision.
Yoga nidra and deep rest
Guided practices for non-sleep deep rest. Useful for sleep, for fatigue, and for times of grief or change.
Episode 101:
Yoga Nidra - Non Sleep Deep Rest
The practice draws our attention inwards, and we can learn to slip between the states of wakefulness and sleep. This is a great class to do right before bed.
Episode 97:
Yoga Nidra for Grief or Change
A 40 minute Yoga Nidra practice with the intention to support feelings of overwhelm that come with grief or change.
Episode 72:
Yoga Nidra for Fatigue
A yoga nidra meditation specifically for those of you who are feeling overworked, overtired, overstressed, or over anxious.
Episode 63:
Yoga Nidra for a Relaxed Face and Eyes
This is a great class if your eyes are starting to feel fatigue, if you are feeling burn out or just generally need a restorative practice.
Hips and lower body
Hip mobility, psoas release and lower body work, including classes for people who sit a lot and recovery sessions after running, cycling or gardening.
Episode 58:
A Gentle Trip Around the Hips
This is a 75 minute gentle Level 1 class. This class works to open the hips with an attention to keeping space in the lower back.
Episode 75: Get Out of Your Chair: Hip Flexor and Psoas Release
We will use a multi-disciplinary approach, including breathing, myofascial release, and active and passive stretching in poses.
Anxiety and emotional wellbeing
Movement lessons for unravelling the body patterns that go with anxiety. The Unravelling Body Anxiety series develops this work further.
Episode 65: Unraveling Body Patterns of Anxiety
This is the intro class to the 8 lesson Feldenkrais® course, Unraveling Body Anxiety
Episode 67: Treat Yourself Shoulder Release in Sitting
A mini Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement lesson sitting in a chair.
